Explosive growth and logistical uncertainty: How quooker moved to digitalization

Is it possible to experience significant growth without the digitization of the supply chain? Quooker, a manufacturer of faucets that deliver both boiling and sparkling water, made a genuine effort to prove it can be done. This company was founded in 1992, born from the innovative idea of father and son duo, the Peteris.

The innovative faucet concept quickly caught on, propelling Quooker to an impressive 250 percent growth over five years. This rapid expansion, coupled with a distribution center in the Port of Rotterdam and a manufacturing site in Riddererk, significantly increased logistical challenges. Uncertainties within the supply chain led to excessive safety margins in inventory levels. Thus, digitizing logistical operations became imperative.

Digitizing their logistics and supply chain operations allowed Quooker to achieve a 20% reduction in pallet space.

Exploring Potential for Efficiency and Savings

A strong desire for deeper insights into logistical operations and the supply chain sparked a journey towards finding the right approach. Quooker's improvement initiative revealed a significant gap in understanding transportation flows. To bridge this gap, Quooker partnered with Rotra to embark on digitizing its logistics and supply chain processes.
